Job Description
The role involves overseeing NES operations and maintenance in the northern region, ensuring SLA compliance by vendors and contractors, supporting local teams, and enhancing performance metrics in alignment with KPIs. The manager will coordinate interdepartmental collaborations, process optimization, field technical support, and reporting while leading a regional team through coaching, performance management, and capacity building.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Manage NES operations and ensure post-implementation support for Enterprise and Fixed Broadband Services.
Supervise service vendors and 3rd party contractors to ensure SLA compliance.
Monitor regional network performance and service coverage.
Collaborate with Regional Technical Managers and other stakeholder teams.
Support Supply Chain with vendor evaluations and scoping requests.
Provide technical field feedback to the Senior Manager.
Drive MTN’s quality control processes including testing and maintenance procedures.
Ensure optimal resource utilization within the region.
Generate and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports.
Liaise with other departments to ensure alignment and effective service delivery.
Coach, train, and appraise team members to meet departmental goals.
Assign tasks and set KPIs for the team.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer or Telecommunications Engineering
A Management Degree is an added advantage
Fluency in English required
Experience:
6–13 years’ experience, including at least 3 years in telecommunications
Experience managing teams in a medium to large organization
Technical background in Radio Access Network, Fiber, FTTX operations and maintenance
Performance management in a telecom environment
Familiarity with managed services in multi-vendor settings
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, SQL, etc.
