Job Description
The Logistician will coordinate, supervise, and provide on-the-job training to non-medical national staff including security guards, cleaners, drivers, cooks, and maintenance staff. They will manage logistics operations such as international staff movements, cargo shipments, customs clearance, vehicle fleets, communication systems, facility hygiene, procurement, and maintenance. The Logistician will report to the Project Coordinator and collaborate with the EMERGENCY Humanitarian Office in Italy to ensure smooth operations and compliance with standards and protocols.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Project Coordinator to enforce security regulations.
Manage travel logistics for international staff, including visas and tickets.
Handle the logistics and documentation for importing project materials, ensuring compliance with customs and internal procedures.
Oversee the motor pool management and vehicle maintenance.
Regularly ensure communication systems (THURAYA, radios, internet) are operational.
Supervise the operation and hygiene standards of auxiliary services (kitchen, canteen, laundry, etc.).
Manage procurement processes and maintain relationships with local suppliers.
Monitor and plan maintenance of project equipment, systems, and structures.
Coordinate biomedical equipment repairs with the HQ Biomedical Division.
Maintain and submit monthly data reports and written summaries.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Management, Business Economics, or Political Science.
At least 2 years’ relevant work experience in facility management within commercial or non-profit organizations.
Master’s Degree in Development Studies or a related field is preferred.
Experience in managing petty cash.
Strong skills in facility management.
Basic knowledge of electronics and mechanics is an advantage but not mandatory.
Proficient in English.
Willingness to stay overseas for 6 months, including leave.
