Job Description
The Local Quality Assurance Officer ensures adherence to Enza Zaden’s quality standards and protocols through the effective application of the Quality Management System. The officer will regularly inspect processes for compliance with internal and external regulations, deliver training sessions to employees, conduct internal audits, and ensure proper documentation within the QMS. Additionally, the role entails overseeing compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Authority (OSHA) standards and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Implement and monitor adherence to company protocols and quality standards
Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with organizational rules and external regulations
Offer protocol training to employees
Utilize and maintain records in the Quality Management System (QMS)
Monitor and report on Health and Safety compliance (OSHA)
Conduct follow-up on audit findings and corrective action implementation
Support operational teams in maintaining high-quality processes

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture from a recognized university
Experience:
Up to 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in a farm or agricultural sector
Hands-on knowledge of quality systems, audits, and training
Skills and Competencies:
Strong organizational and time-management abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in ERP and QMS systems
Fluency in English and Swahili
Knowledge of OSHA regulations is an added advantage
