3. Legal Officer – Litigation
The Legal Officer – Litigation will report to the Senior Legal Officer - Litigation and will be based at Head office. He/ she will be responsible for providing legal services to support business operations in accordance with Pride’s policies, procedures and the law.
Provide legal services to Pride in a timely manner and ensure that business operations are within the established laws.
Handle litigation matters of Pride.
Ensure the release of the security to the clients upon completion of the loan.
Provide legal advice to the Management and staff of Pride.
Participate and attend various committees such as the credit committee for the approval of loans.
Attend and disciplinary hearings, contract negotiations evaluation committees as need may arise.
Draft agreements between Pride and service providers in order to protect Pride’s interest.
Review and advice on the contracts submitted by service providers.
Review the existing legal forms and documents to ensure that they are in line with the law and policy.
Conduct securities audit to ensure they are in custody and with mortgages registered.
Prepare a monthly compliance report to be submitted to the department head.

Bachelor of Law and Diploma in Legal Practice.
At least three years’ experience preferably in a Financial Institution or busy Law firm a valid practicing certificate.
Knowledge of legal and regulatory provisions.
Should not be more than 30 years of age
