Job Description
Sokoni Africa Limited is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our esteemed team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and quality of all linens and garments used throughout the hotel. Your commitment to upholding the highest standards of hygiene and service will contribute significantly to our guests’ satisfaction.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens and garments according to established policies and procedures
Inspect all items for stains or damage and ensure proper treatment and repair where applicable
Operate laundry machines and equipment safely and efficiently
Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and notify management of needs
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room and work area
Adhere to safety guidelines and health regulations at all times
Assist with other housekeeping tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience as a Laundry Attendant or in a similar role is an advantage
Knowledge of laundry procedures and equipment operations
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Good physical stamina, as the role requires standing for long periods and lifting heavy items
Excellent time management skills and reliability
