The National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) is a corporate autonomous statutory institution under the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoE&S) responsible for the development of educational curricula for Pre-primary, Primary, Secondary and Tertiary institutions in Uganda.
The National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) is a corporate body under the Ministry of Education and Sports responsible for developing curricula and related materials for various levels of education, including Pre-primary, Primary, Secondary, and some Tertiary institutions. NCDC also organizes capacity-building courses for stakeholders on curriculum matters.

Job Description
The role involves assembling, maintaining, and repairing science laboratory equipment used in schools and educational institutions. The Laboratory Technician will also support the development of laboratory-related curriculum materials, ensure compliance with safety standards, and collaborate with educators and stakeholders to enhance laboratory-based learning.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Engage in the fabrication, servicing, and maintenance of science laboratory equipment.
Assist in the procurement, testing, and calibration of laboratory apparatus.
Support the development and improvement of science laboratory curricula and instructional materials.
Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and best practices.
Maintain an inventory of laboratory equipment and supplies.
Provide technical support to educators and stakeholders on laboratory-related matters.
Participate in research and development of science education materials.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
A minimum of a Diploma in Science and Technology (Physics) OR
A minimum of a Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology (Physics) from a recognized institution.
Experience:
At least two (2) years of experience in Science Laboratory-related fields.
Age Requirement: 25 – 40 years.
