Health Promotion & Disease Prevention:

• Provide counseling on disease prevention, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle choices.

• Participate in immunization programs, maternal and child health care, and community outreach.

• Educate patients and the community on communicable disease prevention, including HIV/AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis.

Surgical Assistance:

• Assist doctors in major surgeries or perform basic surgical procedures independently, depending on their training and scope of practice.

• Pre- and post-operative patient care management.

Record Keeping & Documentation:

• Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.

• Ensure that patient data is properly documented for continuity of care.

Collaboration & Supervision:

• Work closely with doctors, nurses, laboratory technicians, and other healthcare providers.

• Supervise and train junior clinical staff, nurses, and other medical personnel as needed.

• Participate in healthcare team meetings to discuss patient management and care improvement.

Public Health Responsibilities:

• Participate in national health programs, such as vaccination campaigns and maternal health initiatives.

• Contribute to epidemiological data collection and reporting for disease outbreaks.
