Job Description
As a Junior SEO Manager, you will work closely with the Senior SEO Specialist to implement advanced SEO strategies. Your key responsibilities will include conducting keyword research, writing and editing content using AI tools, executing backlink outreach campaigns, and performing regular technical SEO checks. You will also guide clients through the implementation of SEO recommendations and be the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular project updates and performance reports. Additionally, you will contribute to developing AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) strategies, furthering the company’s innovative approach to SEO in Africa.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Conduct keyword research and create content briefs for SEO strategies.
Write and edit SEO-optimized content using AI tools.
Execute backlink outreach campaigns to improve domain authority and rankings.
Perform regular Technical SEO checks and advise clients on implementation.
Serve as the primary SEO point of contact for clients, offering project status and performance updates.
Contribute to the development of AEO and GEO strategies to enhance SEO performance.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Required:
2+ years of experience in SEO, preferably with an agency or large brands.
Ability to engage with developers and work with both front-end and back-end teams.
Strong data analysis skills and a scientific mindset for refining SEO strategies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Experience with HTML, CSS, and working with custom code (no CMS).
Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred:
Experience with AEO/GEO strategies and knowledge of LLMs or Answer Engines.
Familiarity with AI tools for SEO content optimization.
Experience working in high-paced environments such as start-ups or agencies.
