Job Description
The Junior Internal Communications Officer will play a key role in ensuring that employees are informed, engaged, and aligned with the company’s goals and values. The role involves creating engaging internal content, supporting communication plans, managing communication tools, coordinating internal events, gathering employee feedback, and measuring the effectiveness of internal communication strategies.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Assist in creating a content calendar and producing internal communication content such as newsletters, emails, intranet updates, and presentations.
Collaborate with the Internal Communications Manager to develop and implement communication strategies that reflect company objectives.
Manage and maintain internal communication platforms to ensure information is engaging and accessible to employees.
Liaise with internal departments and external creative agencies to ensure clear and consistent messaging.
Support the coordination of internal events such as town halls, staff meetings, and employee engagement programs.
Administer employee feedback tools to enhance communication strategies based on staff input.
Monitor and evaluate internal communication efforts, suggesting improvements where needed.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
Experience:
At least 4 years of experience in internal communications, staff engagement, or a related field.
Previous experience in a similar corporate role is an added advantage.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and communication platforms.
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
Creative thinking and strong organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams and departments.
