Job Description
Job Title: Junior Commercial Analyst (Fresher Jobs)
Organisation: Hima Cement Limited
Duty Station: Namanve, Uganda

Reports to: Commercial Analyst
The Junior Commercial Analyst (JCA) will support the finance and commercial teams by ensuring timely receipting of customer payments, implementing price adjustments, and conducting pricing analysis to enhance profitability. The role involves working beyond standard hours (weekdays after 5 PM and weekends) to facilitate seamless business transactions.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Implement and monitor system price lists as set by the pricing committee.
Conduct pricing analytics and assess the impact on profitability.
Update financial models with agreed prices, including MTP and Budget.
Perform variance analysis on actual vs. budgeted financial data.
Handle internal and external audit requirements.
Provide accurate and timely financial forecasts to support decision-making.
Compute rebate accruals and ensure pay-outs align with the rebate policy.
Assist the treasury team with customer payment receipting outside regular working hours.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Country Controller.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (BSc preferred).
Professional accounting qualification (e.g. Level 2 ACCA, CPA) is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of accounting regulations and standards.
Technical Competencies
Experience in managing deadlines and workload effectively.
Strong stakeholder management and teamwork skills.
Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
Ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
