IT Project Specialist job at Centenary Bank
Centenary Bank
Centenary Bank is a leading Commercial Microfinance Bank serving over a third of the banking population with services that can be accessed across 80 branches, 207 ATMs, over 7,491 CenteAgents, and other digital platforms. The Bank seeks to recruit suitably qualified and competent persons to fill the position of Security Operations Center Analyst, Database Administrator, Core Banking Systems Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst and Customer Service Consultant. Project Planning and Initiation
Project Scope: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
Project Plan: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resources, and risk management strategies.
Requirements Gathering: Work with stakeholders to gather and document detailed requirements.
Project Execution
Task Management: Assign tasks to team members and ensure that they have the necessary resources to complete their work.
Coordination: Coordinate activities between different project teams and departments.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
Monitoring and Control
Progress Tracking: Monitor project progress against the plan, using project management tools and techniques.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
Communication and Reporting
Status Updates: Provide regular status updates to stakeholders, including progress, risks, and issues.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including meeting minutes, reports, and project plans.
Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate effective communication between project stakeholders, team members, and management.
Budget and Resource Management
Budget Control: Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring that expenditures are within the approved limits.
Resource Allocation: Allocate resources efficiently, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports and forecasts for management review.
Issue Resolution
Problem Solving: Address and resolve project issues promptly to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.
Decision Making: Make informed decisions to keep the project on track and within scope.
Project Closure
Final Deliverables: Ensure that all project deliverables are completed and meet the required standards.
Post-Project Evaluation: Conduct post-project evaluations to identify successes and areas for improvement.
Documentation: Archive all project documentation and ensure knowledge transfer to relevant teams.
Process Improvement
Best Practices: Identify and implement best practices for project management within the organization.
Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Technical Support
Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
Integration: Ensure successful integration of new systems and technologies into existing IT infrastructure.
Compliance and Standards
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that projects comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
