Job Description
Job Title: IT & Cyber Risk Specialist
Organisation: Opportunity Bank (OBUL)
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
The IT & Cyber Risk Specialist is responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating cybersecurity risks across the bank’s digital platforms, network infrastructure, and banking applications. This role ensures that the bank's IT systems and data are secure, protected from external and internal threats, and compliant with financial regulations and industry standards. The IT & Cyber Risk Specialist will work closely with the bank's technology, risk management, and compliance teams to implement effective risk management strategies and safeguard the bank’s financial services.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science /IT or related field from a recognised university.
IT Security related Certifications and/or IT
Security postgraduate education is an added advantage.
At least three (3) years of IT and cyber risk assurance experience
At least two (2) years’ experience supporting implementation and/or managing of complex
IT security projects is required.
