The National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board (NLGRB) in Uganda is a statutory body established to oversee the regulation, supervision, and control of lotteries, gaming, and betting activities within the country. The NLGRB ensures that these activities are conducted in a fair, transparent, and responsible manner, safeguarding the interests of both the participants and the general public.
The NLGRB plays a significant role in balancing the benefits of the gaming industry with the need to protect vulnerable populations. By regulating and supervising gaming activities, the Board helps mitigate the risks associated with gambling, such as addiction and financial harm. Additionally, the revenues generated from regulated gaming contribute to national development projects, thereby benefiting the broader community.

The National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board ("The Board") was established in 2016 under the Lotteries and Gaming Act 2016 with a mandate to supervise and regulate the establishment, management and operations of the lotteries, gaming, betting and casinos in Uganda, and to protect the citizens from the adverse effects of gaming and betting in Uganda.
Our Vision is "A technologically driven and revenue generating gaming sector free from adverse effects" The Board invites Online applications from suitably qualified applicants to fill vacant position that exists within the Board's structure as listed below,
Inspection Planning:
Develop and implement detailed inspection plans and schedules.
Identify areas, processes, or products that require inspection.
Conducting Inspections:
Perform thorough inspections of facilities, equipment, processes, or products to ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and company policies.
Use various tools and techniques to inspect and assess quality and safety.
Documentation and Reporting:
Document inspection findings accurately and comprehensively.
Prepare and submit detailed reports outlining inspection results, non-compliance issues, and recommended corrective actions.
Compliance Verification:
Verify compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies.
Ensure that all inspected entities adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.
Risk Assessment:
Identify potential risks and hazards during inspections.
Evaluate the severity of risks and suggest measures to mitigate them.
Follow-Up Inspections:
Conduct follow-up inspections to ensure that corrective actions have been implemented effectively.
Monitor the progress of compliance efforts and report on improvements.
Training and Guidance:
Provide training and guidance to staff on inspection processes, standards, and best practices.
Assist in developing and updating inspection guidelines and protocols.
Liaison and Coordination:
Collaborate with other departments, agencies, and stakeholders to coordinate inspection activities.
Serve as a point of contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors.
Investigation of Incidents:
Investigate incidents, accidents, or complaints related to non-compliance or safety issues.
Gather evidence, interview witnesses, and prepare investigation reports.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for improving inspection processes and systems.
Implement best practices and recommend enhancements to inspection methodologies.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as engineering, quality assurance, environmental science, or a related discipline.
Additional certifications related to inspection, quality control, or safety (e.g., Certified Quality Inspector, Certified Safety Professional) are advantageous.
Experience:
Proven experience in an inspection, quality control, or compliance role.
Experience with regulatory and compliance requirements specific to the industry.
Skills:
Strong analytical and observational skills.
Proficiency in using inspection tools, equipment, and software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Personal Attributes:
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong ethical standards and integrity.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
