Job Title: Host/ Hostess
Organisation: Partunify
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Partunify is looking for a warm, welcoming, and customer-oriented Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our client’s guests. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive first impression, managing reservations, and ensuring the smooth flow of guests within the dining area. This role requires excellent communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently.
Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
Maintain an organized waitlist during busy hours.
Communicate wait times and accommodate special requests when possible.
Assist in coordinating with the waitstaff to ensure a seamless dining experience.
Keep the reception area clean and presentable.
Answer phone calls, take reservations, and respond to guest inquiries.
Uphold hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Additional training in hospitality or customer service is an advantage.
Experience:
Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with reservation management systems is an added advantage.
