Job Description
Job Title: Head Retail
Organization: Airtel Uganda
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Define and drive the retail structure for Airtel Uganda.
Manage deployment of the target numbers for all retail channels.
Delivering sales by developing relationships with retail partners.
Develop and implement sales processes and policies that are aligned and support distribution strategies.
Define and implement strategies/plans to grow and improve REC additions from Gross Adds.
Develop and implement acquisition strategies for the various sales verticals across Retail.
Utilize market research and effective competitor analysis to develop and implement retail plan/strategies that will give Airtel an edge over completion.
Constantly monitor all indices to ensure performance against set target while ensuring remedial action for all under-performing initiatives.
To facilitate and develop the “P&L” for the retail channels comprising both Sales and Service parameters earnings.
Ensure roll outs and drive healthy profitability in the retail.
To devise and facilitate IT enabled key automation projects for roll outs at each.
Define & drive quality customer experience.
Manage, motivate, & develop staff.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
University Degree in any business-related field.
Post-graduate education or training is added advantage.
10+ years of work experience in Customer service or Retail management with 5 years in a senior manager role.
Telecommunication work experience.
Team Leadership.
Resilience
Ability to influence and get things done quickly.
Ability to work in a cross-cultural/ cross-country environment.
Creativity (out-of-the box thinking) and Commercial Acumen.
Customer service orientation.
Effective Communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to make presentations.
