Nation Media Group is Uganda's most influential media house, operating the Daily Monitor, Saturday Monitor, Sunday Monitor and The East African Newspapers, 93.3 KFM, 90.4 Dembe FM and Nation Courier Service. It also operates NTV, the biggest and most popular English-language television station and Spark TV, the first female-focused and fastest growing television station in Uganda.
Develop and implement a comprehensive, digital-first programming strategy for the radio department, focusing on growth, engagement, and innovation.
Lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Works with the Commercial Teams to ensure programming and business strategies are aligned to deliver revenue targets.
Continually gather and assess relevant market intelligence from the trade to inform the quality of decisions.
Tracks progress of monthly and quarterly performance against operational targets and recommends necessary actions aimed at redressing performance shortfalls or other constraints.
Oversee the production of high-quality, compelling radio content that resonates with and meets the needs of agreed target audiences, ensuring it is optimized for various digital platforms
Directs research on the industry activities and utilises the results to enhance the stations' ratings Nation Media Group

Manage budgets, resources, and timelines effectively, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within financial guidelines.

Academic: Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications, Business or anyother related field from an accredited University. An MBA will be an added advantage.
Professional: Relevant certification in radio broadcasting
Experience: At least 7 years radio broadcasting experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role
COMPETENCIES
High commercial/ business acumen with a strong drive for results
Demonstrated success in developing and executing business and digital strategies for media content.
Strong understanding of digital media platforms, media dynamics, streaming technology, and audience analytics.
Exceptional leadership skills with a proven track record of mentoring and developing teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable working collaboratively departments and with external partners. Across
Innovative thinker with the ability to identify and act on emerging trends in digital media and radio broadcasting.
