Job Description
The role involves developing and implementing HR strategies in alignment with the school’s objectives, managing staff records, handling recruitment and onboarding, overseeing staff welfare and benefits, and ensuring compliance with HR policies. The Head of HR will also be responsible for training staff on HR policies, resolving workplace issues, and ensuring performance appraisals are conducted effectively.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Plan and budget for the HR department.
Develop, update, and disseminate HR policies through workshops and training.
Align HR strategies with the school’s overall strategic direction.
Manage attendance, leave applications, and disciplinary processes.
Handle the recruitment and selection process, including drafting job adverts, screening candidates, issuing contracts, and conducting onboarding and induction programs.
Address disciplinary and grievance issues in collaboration with department heads.
Oversee staff performance management and ensure timely appraisals.
Manage staff welfare, including medical insurance, workman’s compensation, and health and safety initiatives.
Maintain and update staff records and files.
Assist expatriate staff in obtaining and renewing work permits.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Labour Relations, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
A Master’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field is an added advantage.
At least 5 years of experience in Human Resource Management.
Experience in an international school setting is a plus.
