Job Description
The Head of Finance will be responsible for the development and implementation of financial strategies that maximize return on investment (ROI) and ensure the company's financial sustainability. This will include overseeing budgeting and financial forecasting, ensuring compliance with financial laws and standards, and presenting financial reports to senior management. The role involves guiding financial decisions by establishing and enforcing internal controls, monitoring financial performance, and ensuring the availability of funds needed for business operations. The Head of Finance will also manage risk, coordinate with external auditors, and build strong relationships with auditors, banks, clients, and other key business stakeholders.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and implement financial strategies for the company
Ensure compliance with financial laws, guidelines, and standards
Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results
Guide financial decisions through internal controls
Coordinate with external auditors and manage internal controls
Lead the finance department team
Work with senior management to develop financial plans and projections
Oversee cash flow planning and ensure the availability of funds
Manage the budgeting process and financial strategy of the organization
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures for operational efficiency
Manage relationships with auditors, banks, clients, and other stakeholders

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
A Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, business administration, or a related field
MBA or Certification in CFA, CPA, or ACCA is an added advantage
A minimum of 7 years of work experience in a similar role
Comprehensive understanding of financial regulations, financial planning, and analysis
Proven experience in financial management and accounting
Strong knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
Proficient in MS Office and financial management software (e.g., SAGE, SAP)
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the business process outsourcing industry
Ability to strategize, solve problems, and analyze data
