Equity Bank Uganda Limited, is a commercial bank in Uganda. It is licensed by the Bank of Uganda, the central bank and national banking regulator.
Equity Bank is one of the fastest growing banks in Uganda, with a large network of 50 branches, 7,000+ EquiDuukas, 1,279 POS Terminal and 50+ ATMs spread across the country. 25 of these branches are located in Central and greater Kampala, serving over 1,800,000 customers. The Bank has deployed a number of Alternate Business Channels to enhance its product and service delivery. These include: Internet Banking, Eazzy 247- a mobile banking service, Point of Sales (POS) machines as well as partnerships with major telecom companies.

Job Description
Job Title: Head of Enterprise Risk Management

Reports to: Managing Director
The Head of Enterprise Risk Management is charged with establishing appropriate Enterprise Risk Management framework including risk policies, metrics, reporting and monitoring and ensure alignment of Risk Management with Corporate Strategy by providing direction for the allocation of resources for Risk Management.
Facilitate the execution of Enterprise Risk Management Framework by supporting Senior Management and the Board Risk Management Committee (BRMC) in ensuring that risks are mitigated to the desired level.
Assist the Board Risk Management Committee (BRMC) and Senior Management in balancing the organization’s risk taking ability with its
approved Risk Appetite to protect as well as enhance Corporate Value.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
A master’s degree in any business-related field and Enterprise Risk Management Certified Professional (ERMCP) or equivalent
10 years’ experience in banking, 5 years of which must have been at Senior management level in Internal Controls, Audit or Risk Management preferably in a Financial/Banking sector.
Previous experience reporting to Boards or Senior Management Committees.
Ability to quickly understand the various functional / departmental requirements.
Skilled in analysis and review of reports and making presentations to Senior Management.
Knowledge of current trends & practices in business and management
