Job Description
The role involves coordination of donor reporting, grant reviews, and compliance with BRAC and donor policies. The Grant Assistant will monitor grant spending, maintain trackers, organize meetings, and ensure sub-grant compliance. They will support financial and program reporting, provide capacity building on grants systems and tools, and ensure safeguarding procedures are followed. This position reports to the Head of Programmes and works with technical support from the BRAC HQ Grant Management team.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Coordinate narrative and financial reporting across departments
Lead grant Kick Off, Review, and Close Out meetings
Participate in BRAC’s global Grant Management community of practice
Monitor grant spending, compliance, and performance indicators
Maintain grant and reporting trackers
Support donor contract review and sub-grant agreement development
Ensure compliance with BRAC and donor guidelines
Lead due diligence processes for downstream partners
Build capacity of junior staff and other departments on grant processes
Maintain grant documentation and systems
Promote safeguarding standards across all activities

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, International Development, Social Studies, or Communications
Skills and Knowledge:
Basic knowledge of NGO operations and donor reporting
Understanding of donor compliance (USAID, UNHCR, DFID, etc.)
Familiarity with full grant lifecycle and financial grant management
Coordination, negotiation, and analytical skills
Proficient in Google Suite, MS Office, and financial systems
Excellent written and spoken English
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Knowledge in safeguarding principles
Experience:
At least 1 year in development or related field
Prior experience in grants management is an added advantage
