Through the Forest and Biodiversity program, WWF-Uganda is working with partners (Government Ministries, Agencies, Local Governments, Private Sector and communities) to conserve the integrity of Uganda's protected areas and habitats on private land. This is being done with a balanced mix of forest and wildlife policy, expansion of forest estate, good governance and community livelihoods interventions.

The overall objective of the project is that by 2025, rural livelihoods are improved and greenhouse gas emissions are reduced through widespread access to clean and renewable sources of energy in Uganda.

Job Summary
The Graduate Data Management Intern will play a pivotal role in enhancing FLR data management across WWF UCO projects. Focused on optimizing data collection, digitization, analysis, and visualization processes, the intern will ensure accurate and efficient monitoring of FLR initiatives. Leveraging tools such as Kobo Toolbox, GIS platforms, and data analytics software (SPSS, Stata, NVivo), the intern will support the creation of interactive dashboards and comprehensive reports, thereby bolstering the evidence-based decision-making and impact assessment of conservation efforts. This role is crucial for achieving real-time, actionable insights into FLR progress and outcomes.
Assist in the development and implementation of comprehensive data management strategies for FLR projects to ensure efficient data collection, storage, and analysis processes.
Support the digitalization of data collection tools and processes using platforms like Kobo Toolbox for efficient and accurate data collection.
Contribute to the mapping of all FLR interventions and the production of interactive dashboards for real-time monitoring and decision-making.
Provide technical support in collating, analyzing, and consolidating GIS and monitoring data, and preparing reports on FLR activities using monitoring tools in place.
Engage in field-level data management activities, including digital data collection, and support partners in collecting and analyzing project data.
Support in the ongoing support and training to field staff and enumerators on FLR data management practices, tools, and technologies to enhance project monitoring and evaluation capabilities.

Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Quantitative Economics, Population studies, Business Economics, or related disciplines, obtained not more than 3 years ago, with at least a second-class upper division.
Familiarity with data analytics software (SPSS, Stata, NVivo) and GIS tools.
Required Skills and Competences:
Strong analytical and data management skills.
Experience in using data analysis and management software like SPSS, Stata, PowerBI, among others.
Detail-oriented with good technical report writing skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
