Job Description
As a Full-Stack Engineer, you’ll work closely with the design, product, and engineering teams to develop features for both web and cross-platform mobile apps. Your focus will be on building and maintaining APIs, user-facing features, and frontend components using Ruby on Rails, React, and Angular. You'll also contribute to improving system performance, productivity tools, and mentoring other developers.
You'll be responsible for ensuring quality code, participating in code reviews, translating UI/UX designs into functional software, and helping to maintain system scalability and performance. The company uses modern development tools like GitHub, CircleCI, Docker, and AWS, among others.
This is a fully remote opportunity with no requirement to convert to full-time employment, although consideration may be given in the future for candidates based in OMF hiring locations.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and maintain robust APIs and backend services using Ruby on Rails.
Build scalable frontend components using React and Angular.
Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into functional code.
Prioritize and articulate software requirements in collaboration with product and operations teams.
Maintain and improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of applications.
Participate in code reviews and enforce code quality standards.
Automate workflows and tools to enhance productivity.
Mentor and collaborate with other engineers through knowledge sharing and internal tech talks.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Mandatory:
3+ years of full-time Ruby on Rails development experience.
1+ year of React experience.
1+ year of Angular experience.
Strong understanding of HTTP APIs and Service-Oriented Architecture.
Familiarity with ORMs, database architecture, and SOLID object-oriented design principles.
Experience working in cross-functional teams.
Passion for improving people’s financial well-being.
