Job Description
This freelance opportunity is ideal for language professionals with a passion for high-quality translation, linguistic services, and client satisfaction. Acolad receives daily translation projects and is constantly expanding its network of trusted freelancers to meet the demands of its growing client base. The company is looking for linguists with proven translation experience, knowledge of CAT tools, and the ability to deliver projects on time. Freelancers will benefit from direct collaboration with Acolad’s Service Management team, timely payments, and long-term partnership opportunities.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Translate content accurately and efficiently from source to target language
Provide linguistic services such as transcreation, SEO translation, content writing, revision, review, and post-editing
Adhere to project-specific guidelines and client requirements
Utilize CAT tools such as Trados Studio, Across, Star Transit, and XTM
Communicate effectively with Acolad’s project and service management teams
Meet deadlines and maintain consistent quality standards

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Required:
Higher degree in Translation or equivalent
Native-level proficiency in target language(s)
Advanced knowledge of source language(s)
Good proficiency in MS Office
Proficiency in CAT tools (e.g. Trados Studio, Across, Star Transit)
Strong service mindset and commitment to meeting deadlines
Ideally, a minimum of 2 years of experience in translation or related linguistic services
Preferred/Advantages:
Prior freelance experience in any of the following: translation, transcreation, SEO, content writing, revision, post-editing, interpretation
Experience translating technical, financial, life sciences, digital marketing, or EU-related content
Familiarity with tools such as Across, Star Transit, and/or XTM
Proficiency in more than one EU source language
