Job Description
The Fixed Income Sales Officer’s responsibilities include:
Strengthening existing client relationships and growing product offerings.
Assisting in developing and marketing new global market products to improve profitability.
Conducting presentations to existing and potential clients to raise awareness of global market products.
Marketing products to clients and collaborating with relationship and branch managers to maintain strong synergies.
Driving Treasury Sales activities to meet financial targets.
Enhancing and executing the fixed income sales strategy.
Ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
Developing strategies to increase the bank’s wallet share of Fixed Income and Institutional/Corporate clients.
Managing new product launches, including customized flexible products and structured solutions.
Expanding product offerings to include derivatives for both existing and new clients.
Working with the Trading team to ensure broad product availability to clients.
Assisting with the preparation of sales unit budgets and monitoring business performance.
Ensuring compliance with ECOBANK’s regulatory and internal control guidelines.
Maintaining relationships with regulators and keeping up-to-date with changes in the regulatory environment.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and implement a marketing plan for Fixed Income activities.
Aggressively engage existing and potential clients with a structured calling plan.
Price and quote financial instruments to clients for profitable selling.
Lead the launch of new customized and flexible fixed income products.
Expand product offerings to include derivatives.
Provide clients with current market information and insights.
Work with the Management and Risk teams to align expansion strategies with risk appetite and broader goals.
Ensure compliance with all internal and regulatory guidelines, including audit requirements.
Maintain and strengthen internal relationships with departments and external relationships with regulators and industry practitioners.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education: MBA in Accounting or Finance Option.
Certifications: ACI Financial Markets Certification.
Skills and Attributes:
In-depth knowledge of Fixed Income products.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
Ability to react quickly to opportunities and make swift decisions.
Ability to work accurately under pressure.
Strong mathematical and computer skills.
Confident, intuitive, and able to work as a team player.
