Job Description

The Financial Planning & Analysis Officer will contribute to business planning and performance tracking for ENGIE’s PAYGO and minigrid markets. The successful candidate will build and manage financial models, ensure accurate forecasting, and develop analytical tools and datasets to support decision-making across the organization. This individual will collaborate closely with country teams to support operational and financial goals and will provide insights to enhance sales, pricing, and efficiency strategies.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Own and manage annual budgeting, reforecasting, and financial modeling for three PAYGO and minigrid markets.

  • Develop, manage, and maintain datasets, reports, and dashboards to support business decision-making.

  • Lead process improvement and analysis initiatives across global and country operations.

  • Build and maintain ENGIE’s financial model (Vena) and models for standalone projects.

  • Analyze business and financial data to drive strategic improvements.

  • Support country teams in meeting financial targets through data-driven insights.

  • Present financial information in a clear and actionable format for non-finance stakeholders.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.

  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or financial analysis.

  • Prior experience in sectors such as retail financial services, microfinance, or off-grid solar is preferred.

  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.

  • Excellent project management and collaboration abilities.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
