Job Description

The Finance Support Executive will be responsible for daily reconciliation between Airtel Money platforms and Trust Accounts, tracking and analyzing transaction movements for accuracy and reporting, accounting for revenue and wallet costs, and ensuring compliance with Bank of Tanzania regulations. The role includes supporting financial controls, reporting processes, and providing assistance to business units on financial matters.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform daily reconciliation between Airtel Money Platform and Trust Accounts (D-1)

    • Share DTR Input

    • Clear DTR unreconciled items

    • Track TIPS open items

  • Track transactional movements for decision-making and error detection

    • Monitor wallet leakages, VCN, THUNES, IMT, and Currency Swap activities

  • Ensure accurate accounting of revenue and wallet-related costs

    • Oversee daily commission disbursement and wallet accounting

  • Ensure compliance with Bank of Tanzania (BOT) regulations

    • Track payment transfers to banks

    • Manage interest files and partner bank commission invoices

    • Compile and sign off ICOFR documents

  • Support business teams with financial aspects of products and services

  • Provide assistance with financial controls and testing

    • Support weekend finance reconciliation activities if required

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in finance, preferably in receivables, payables, or reconciliations

Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting functions and financial procedures

  • Familiarity with financial reporting standards and compliance requirements

  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work in a performance-driven environment

  • Basic knowledge of financial principles, technical concepts, and systems
