Job Description
Job Title: Finance Officer
Organisation: Mota-Engil Africa
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Review, validate, and record invoices to ensure compliance with contracts and purchase orders.
Coordinate with the treasury department to ensure efficient payment processing.
Monitor outstanding payments and analyze their impact on the company’s cash flow.
Maintain regular communication with suppliers to address any issues related to invoices and payments.
Resolve payment-related disputes and negotiate credit terms with suppliers.
Conduct bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial records.
Prepare detailed accounts payable reports, including payment status and financial forecasts.
Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements related to payments.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
Identify and implement improvements in the accounts payable processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Automate repetitive tasks to optimize operations and enhance productivity.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Commerce.
Completion of CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent certification is required.
3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
Proficiency in SAP and MS Office tools.
Strong adherence to deadlines.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong multitasking and time management abilities.
