Job Description
The Finance Manager is responsible for maintaining efficient financial processes, ensuring accurate reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance. The role involves overseeing accounting operations, maintaining compliance with tax laws and internal policies, managing internal controls, coaching finance teams, and acting as a business partner to senior management by offering financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.
Key areas include:Financial reporting and compliance
Cash flow monitoring
Budgeting and forecasting
Internal control systems review and enhancement
Training and mentorship of junior finance staff
Business analysis and advisory support
Service excellence in internal client management
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Financial Process and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with group financial policies and tax regulations
Implement clear and effective financial procedures
Submit timely and accurate financial reports
Liaise with auditors in coordination with the Head of Finance
Financial Management and Control:
Oversee internal control systems for efficiency and effectiveness
Review and update control procedures regularly
Identify and resolve control weaknesses and inefficiencies
Ensure financial transactions comply with policies
Monitor and report cash flow
Human Capital Management:
Coach and orient junior finance staff
Set clear objectives and KPIs for the team
Monitor performance and development of finance team members
Mentor and retain key finance talents
Business Advisory and Partnering:
Support project feasibility assessments
Collaborate on implementing effective business controls
Provide accurate financial data to aid decision-making
Advise on financial legislation and risk management
Analyze financial data and recommend best practices
Service Excellence:
Provide prompt support to internal stakeholders
Ensure high standards in financial service delivery

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
Fully Qualified ACCA or CPA
Up-to-date knowledge of accounting laws and standards
Experience:
At least 10 years of experience in the finance sector
Minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role
Skills and Competencies:
Strong organizational and leadership abilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
High integrity and confidentiality
Advanced Excel proficiency
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Business acumen and team motivation skills
