The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the finance department of Unifi Kenya. This includes team leadership, financial planning and analysis, compliance, business strategy execution, and reporting. Finance Department Management:
Lead an efficient, inclusive finance department
Monitor and improve financial processes and reporting
Ensure organizational financial health and effective planning
People Appointment and Development:
Hire, retain, and develop high-performing finance staff
Manage and support the finance team’s performance
Oversee and build the collections department
Business Strategy Execution:
Align financial operations with the business strategy
Manage treasury functions and financial projects
Engage with stakeholders and drive operational improvements
Reporting:
Manage month-end closings and balance sheet reconciliations
Oversee external audits and budgeting processes
Provide accurate cash flow and financial forecasts
Compliance:
Ensure statutory compliance and timely submissions
Adhere to IFRS and tax legislation
Maintain strong corporate governance
Financial Controls and Modelling:
Manage procurement processes and cost controls
Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting
Monitor marketing, capex, and facilities expenditure
Analysis:
Optimize tax strategies and capital structure
Analyze financial data and trends
Provide performance insights, especially at branch level
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
CPA(K), ACCA, CA, or MBA preferred
Minimum of 5 years in a similar finance leadership role
Strong leadership and communication skills
Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities
Proficient in financial systems, Power BI, and data analysis
Structured, strategic thinker with a hands-on approach
Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
