Job Description
As a Field Sales Specialist, you will be accountable for increasing iKhokha’s market presence by identifying, targeting, and onboarding new merchants. The role involves actively canvassing, following up with clients, managing a sales pipeline, and meeting set performance targets. You will play a key part in specialized sales campaigns, provide excellent after-sales support, and ensure client satisfaction. Your responsibilities will also include tracking competition, resolving complaints, and enhancing your technical and sales knowledge through continuous learning.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Source and acquire new customers in specified trade areas
Conduct post-sale follow-ups and manage client relationships
Promote and upsell new products and services
Plan and execute country trips to target new sales leads
Achieve company targets for gross profit, device sales, and demos
Manage deal pipeline using HubSpot and maintain accurate activity logs
Offer feedback on ways to improve sales and service procedures
Assist merchants with FICA documentation
Provide complimentary follow-up visits and after-sales service
Participate in targeted and top merchant sales campaigns
Uphold iKhokha’s values and standards during client interactions
Monitor and report on competitor activities in the field
Take full ownership of customer issues and recommend resolutions
Continuously update professional and technical knowledge

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Requirements:
Completed Matric
Minimum 3 years of Field/Outbound Sales experience
Experience in merchant services or the banking sector (advantageous)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
CRM and Sales Software knowledge
Valid driver’s license and reliable transport
FICA training (advantageous)
Additional Skills:
Proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales targets
Solid understanding of the sales funnel and pipeline management
Strong customer relationship management skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
