Directs and co-ordinates all Uganda operational activities to achieve safety, environment, and transportation/maintenance targets in a cost-effective way.

Substitutes for Operational Director in his absence.

Ensures proper Operational reporting and meetings management.

Maintains the safety of the Uganda operational assets by ensuring appropriate controls are in place such that the integrity of safety systems is always maintained.

Follows up near misses, dangerous occurrences and accidents and act to prevent recurrence.

Ensures operational procedures are kept up to date, understood and implemented to ensure statutory and company safety requirements are met.

Directs Uganda Operations planning and prioritization process to ensure coordination of activities on 24-months / 4-months & 5-weeks horizon.

Ensures transvers coordination during the project, the Startup, and the steady state operations phases.

Participates in preparing the operations annual budget.
