Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC) Limited is a limited liability company solely owned by the Government of Uganda (GOU). It was established under Section 42 of the Petroleum (Exploration, Development, and Production) Act and Section 7 of the Petroleum (Refining, Conversion, Transmission and Midstream Storage) Act, both of 2013. It was incorporated under the Companies Act of 2012 as a limited liability company on June 12th, 2015.

Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC) Limited was established under the Petroleum (Exploration, Development and Production) Act and the Petroleum (Refining, Conversion, Transmission and Midstream storage) Act, both of 2013 and incorporated under the Companies Act, 2012. It is a limited liability company wholly owned by the Government of Uganda.
The overall function of UNOC is to handle the State's commercial interests in the Oil and Gas industry and ensure that the resource is exploited in a sustainable manner.
UNOC now invites applications from persons interested to develop their career with a dynamic and results-oriented Company to occupy the following position.
Process Analysis and Design:
Analyze current business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
Map out existing processes and workflows using process mapping tools.
Design new business processes and workflows that optimize performance and align with organizational goals.
Process Improvement:
Implement process improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Business Process Reengineering (BPR).
Develop and propose strategies for improving business processes and reducing costs.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of process changes and improvements.
Documentation and Standardization:
Create detailed documentation of business processes, including process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
Ensure processes are standardized across the organization and comply with industry standards and regulations.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with stakeholders, including management, department heads, and employees, to gather requirements and understand business needs.
Facilitate workshops and meetings to discuss process changes and gather feedback.
Act as a liaison between different departments to ensure smooth implementation of process changes.
Change Management:
Develop change management plans to support the implementation of new processes.
Provide training and support to employees on new processes and tools.
Address resistance to change and ensure that process changes are adopted effectively.
Technology Integration:
Work with IT and other departments to integrate new technologies that support process improvements.
Evaluate and recommend software solutions that enhance business process management.
Ensure that technological solutions are aligned with business process requirements.
Performance Measurement and Reporting:
Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of process improvements.
Prepare and present reports on process performance and improvement initiatives to senior management.
Use data analytics to identify trends and areas for further improvement.
Continuous Improvement:
Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in business process management.
Encourage employees to suggest ideas for process improvements and innovation.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, industrial engineering, or a related field.
Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA) or certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, PMP) are advantageous.
Experience:
Several years of experience in business process analysis, process improvement, or a related role.
Experience in a specific industry (e.g., manufacturing, healthcare, finance) may be beneficial depending on the organization.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in process mapping and analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart).
Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
Familiarity with business process management (BPM) software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Analytical Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
Attention to detail and a systematic approach to identifying and addressing process inefficiencies.
Communication Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels.
Facilitation and presentation skills for leading workshops and meetings.
Interpersonal Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to build relationships and influence others without direct authority.
Project Management Skills:
Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
Adaptability and Flexibility:
Ability to adapt to change expected challenges and pivot as necessary.
Continuous Learning:
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Willingness to stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in business process management.
