Job Description
Manage all Switch Engineers in your designated Switching Centres.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage all Switch Engineers in your designated Switching Centres.
Update callout roster and make sure that switches are well manned during the normal working hours: 08h00 – 17h00
Control contractors’ installations and sign off HW installations on expansions and new builds.
Assist in the development of an automated and effective environment.
Make sure that housekeeping is enhanced to keep the switching centres free of hazards
Assist various Network Group departments and Vendors with switching equipment remodeling/redefinition
Be first escalation point for all SE & follow correct escalation procedure when assistance is required.
Manage all projects within the switching environment.

Qualifications and Competencies
Minimum of 3 year degree/diploma (BSc engineering/ related)
• Fluent in English
• Basic IP knowledge (advantageous)
Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a GSM telecommunications environment or related telecoms environment
• Experience working in a medium organization
Training:
• Equipment specific training, essential
