Job Description
The Emergency Nurse will be responsible for assessing patients, providing immediate medical care, responding to emergencies, and executing critical interventions. The role requires effective collaboration with medical teams, accurate documentation, and management of emergency equipment and facilities.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Conduct patient assessments and deliver immediate care in emergency situations.
Respond promptly to critical medical emergencies and initiate necessary interventions.
Coordinate and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Manage and maintain emergency equipment and facilities to ensure readiness.
Document patient care, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly.
Monitor patients and report any changes in their condition to medical professionals.
Maintain high standards of hygiene and infection control within the emergency ward.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing (BSc/MSc).
Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an emergency ward.
Demonstrated skills in patient assessment and emergency response.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent collaboration and coordination skills.
Proficiency in documentation and reporting.
Ability to manage emergency medical equipment and maintain facilities.
Candidates from Kampala and surrounding areas are preferred.
