Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical Oversight:
Manage and supervise the medical care provided in the emergency department.
Ensure timely, high-quality care for patients with acute medical conditions.
Lead in diagnosing and treating patients with a wide range of medical emergencies.
Leadership & Management:
Supervise a team of healthcare professionals, including other physicians, nurses, and support staff.
Collaborate with hospital administrators to manage the department's staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Implement protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with hospital regulations and standards.
Lead daily operations and resolve any clinical or administrative issues.
Facilitate communication among staff, and between departments.

Qualifications and Competencies
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
Completion of a residency in emergency medicine.
Board certification in Emergency Medicine.
Experience:
Extensive clinical experience in emergency medicine (typically 5–10 years or more).
Experience in a leadership or administrative role, such as department director or assistant director.
Licensure:
Must hold a valid medical license to practice in the relevant state or country.
