Job Description
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for managing scalable infrastructure, maintaining Kubernetes clusters, and enhancing CI/CD pipelines. You will also monitor application performance, troubleshoot system issues, implement security best practices, automate workflows, and guide junior engineers in DevOps methodologies and tooling. Collaboration with development, QA, and product teams will be essential to ensure smooth software releases.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure infrastructure on AWS, Hetzner, and Kubernetes
Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, CodeDeploy, etc.
Set up and manage monitoring and alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Graylog)
Lead incident response and ensure system reliability and root cause resolution
Enforce security best practices (IAM policies, firewalls, WAFs) and automated security testing
Automate workflows and system operations using Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages
Mentor junior DevOps engineers and collaborate cross-functionally
Contribute to the design and implementation of system architectures
Optimize system performance and support backup and disaster recovery operations

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Required:
3+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering
Strong background with AWS, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms
Proficient with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, CodeDeploy
Solid Linux administration and networking knowledge
Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Graylog
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash
Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
Familiarity with Git and Agile workflows
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
Experience with Service Mesh (Istio/Linkerd), Kafka, RabbitMQ
Familiarity with security frameworks and tools (HashiCorp Vault, OWASP)
Knowledge of distributed system troubleshooting and cloud cost optimization
French language skills are a plus
