Job Description
The Delivery Man will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of packages and goods to both individuals and businesses. Duties include following designated delivery routes, adhering to traffic and safety regulations, preparing delivery vehicles, and performing routine inspections. The role also requires excellent customer service skills, as the Delivery Man will interact with clients and collect signatures where necessary. Additionally, the Delivery Man must complete delivery-related documentation and coordinate with dispatch and warehouse teams to ensure accurate deliveries.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safety best practices.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members.
Meet assigned delivery deadlines and follow specified routes.
Perform basic vehicle maintenance and inspections.
Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles.
Deliver items to the correct addresses and obtain required signatures.
Use navigation tools to follow delivery routes.
Operate additional equipment like hand trucks, dollies, or forklifts when needed.
Provide excellent customer service to clients.
Complete all delivery-related paperwork and reports.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
No specific academic qualification required.
Previous delivery or logistics experience is an advantage.
Ability to drive and operate delivery vehicles safely.
Familiarity with traffic rules and Lagos routes.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic maintenance knowledge for delivery vehicles.
Physical stamina for loading and unloading goods.
Customer service orientation.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
