Job Description
Job Title: Data Officer (Fresher NGO Jobs)
Organisation: Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation -Uganda (Baylor-Uganda)
Duty Station: Kyenjojo, Uganda
The data officer provides operational support for the HIV prevention and Care Interventions for Youth in Uganda (HIP-CY) study including but not limited to participant list generation, data entry, data quality control, participant file storage/safety ensure high quality, effective and efficient productivity.
The HIP-CY study applies implementation science to understand and design stakeholder informed innovative interventions to improve youth prevention and care continuums in rural and urban Uganda.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Generate and share lists of potential participants with study teams to facilitate engagement with the former for purposes of study recruitment.
Prepare study participant files in line with the study schedule of events.
Develop study participant visit calendars.
Conduct quality control checks on study CRFs completed during participant study visits.
Conduct entry of collected study data from source forms into the study database.
Develop and routinely update the general data and study specific data management standard operating procedures.
Train staff on the Study Data Management requirements.
Conduct safe storage & archival of study documents/participant files.
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Degree in Statistics, Computer science or related course.
Other medical licensure or certification preferred (i.e. GCP/HSP certification).
At least 2 years’ experience in HIV research conduct or HIV programming.
