Job Description
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures for various business units. You will work closely with data scientists, engineers, and business intelligence teams to ensure timely and accurate data delivery. Your role includes optimizing infrastructure for scalability, integrating APIs, and maintaining the integrity of data systems.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Design and maintain scalable batch and near-real-time data pipelines
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and high quality
Implement process improvements and optimize infrastructure
Develop API integrations to manage increasing data volume and complexity
Collaborate with MLOps engineers, product owners, and BI analysts
Support data-centric application development including data warehouses and operational data stores

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
3+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles
Strong experience with data-centric applications
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
Proficient in SQL and Python
Familiarity with Apache Airflow & Apache Spark
Understanding of cloud services (especially AWS: S3, Athena, EC2, RedShift, EMR, RDS, Lambda)
Data modelling and event-driven architectures knowledge
Preferred:
Experience with ML models
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
Background or interest in the gaming industry
