JOB PURPOSE & MAIN MISSION
Write reports and analyze financial data to monitor the performance of AGL and introduce ways of reducing costs.
Assist in developing effective budgeting plans and ensure their implementation.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitoring and analyzing costs
Cooperating with HODs to help them meet budgeting goals
Writing reports and presenting information to key stakeholders
Developing and adjusting budgets
Researching opportunities to reduce expenses
Evaluating project requirements to provide vital resources, including financial and human resources
Optimizing decommissioning procedures to minimize losses
Visiting and monitoring AGL Locations to assess wastage and efficiency
Implementing accounting software and automating cost control systems
Developing financial reporting procedures and systems
Collaborating with HODs to create effective budgets
Calculating the variance between the budgeting plan and reality
Investigating unprofitable variances and losses
Developing cost-efficient solutions to implement changes

REQUIRED SKILLS
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance Business/Administration, Management,
MBA, Finance/Accounting, Accountancy
3 to 5 years experience in a cost control role
Proficient in the usage of Microsoft Office applications
Strong Team Player with the ability to work independently
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
