Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
On a regular basis you will
Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting.
Continuously increase efficiency of month end close and shorten month-end close cycle
Evaluate new and existing accounting tools
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial data.
Prepare and present financial reports for management and stakeholders, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
Coordinate and manage annual audits and tax filings, working closely with external auditors and tax advisors.
Provide financial insights and guidance to support strategic initiatives and business planning.
Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering and People teams as the Finance SME on projects as needed

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
You’re gonna crush it if
You have proven experience as a Controller and have an active CPA license
You have experience working at both large companies and startups (experience working at a big 4 accounting firm is strongly preferred)
You have strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
You have advanced proficiency in financial management software (e.g., QuickBooks, Netsuite) and MS Excel.
You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
You have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment and manage multiple priorities.
You have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
You are comfortable sorting through data to better understand the company’s financial results.
