Job Description
Job Title: Contract Accountant
Organisation: Aldelia Uganda
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Defines financial strategy for Unilever, JESA and Umeme contracts Warehouse & Transport contract; and develop approach to Commercial opportunities to ensure long term profitability:
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Finance employee’s relations and team productivity management.
Checking and ensuring an effective operational processes and processes safeguarding and appropriate internal controls in place are followed and complimented.
Supervision of cost control and transaction processing within the business by ensuring comparative quotes for value for money.
Active participation in the determination and implementation of operational, transactional, cost and internal control processes.
Management of internal and external audit process including coordination of audit strategy and planning, report comments and follow up action plans.
Establish alternative feedback/ Compliance testing structures as and when required.
Drive improvement processes highlighted via audits or other feedback mechanisms.
Coordinate Risk Management process
Provide direction and advice to the Operation Manager regarding maximizing financial performance and enhancement.
Build up Investment models and Commercial Paper for Organic growth business.
Participate in Local PRB process.
Monitors new project through weekly tracking to ensure final contract agrees with approved BCA and group guidelines for UBL.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
General experience in Finance and Accounting in a Multi-National will be a distinct advantage.
Minimum 7 – 10 years’ experience in a management position in Finance with increased responsibility
Proven experience in the management of a team in finance disciplines
Professional Accounting qualification with relevant registration (ACCA / CIMA/CPA)
A business Degree
A master’s degree will be an Added advantage.
