Job Description:
The Project Communications Coordinator will lead and implement communication strategies for CIFOR-ICRAF’s projects. This role includes creating compelling content, managing media outreach, and engaging stakeholders from different sectors. The coordinator will oversee multiple projects, tailoring communication strategies based on specific needs, target audiences, and geographic context.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Communication Strategy: Develop and implement communication strategies, including defining key messages, identifying target audiences, and selecting appropriate channels.
Content Creation: Produce and ensure the quality control of multimedia content such as articles, web content, social media posts, videos, and infographics.
Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with the media, organize press conferences, and track media coverage.
Stakeholder Engagement: Develop materials like fact sheets, presentations, and brochures to engage stakeholders. Organize events, workshops, and campaigns.
Monitoring & Evaluation: Track and analyze KPIs, preparing analytical reports for management and donors.
Crisis Communication: Create contingency plans and manage reputational risks.
Compliance: Ensure that communications align with donor visibility requirements and branding guidelines.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in strategic communications planning and monitoring.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in writing, editing, and producing content for both digital and print media.
Languages:
Excellent written and verbal English skills.
Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesian, French, Portuguese, or Spanish is an advantage.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of digital media and social media trends.
Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and coordinate content across teams.
Experience or background in environment, climate, forestry, or related fields is a plus.
