Compliance Officer job at Pathfinder International

Position Overview:
The Compliance Officer provides overall support for the development and implementation of Pathfinder Country organizational compliance, internal audit, and risk management programs. Assist in the development and implementation of risk management and mitigation plans to ensure compliance with applicable Country and international laws and regulations; donor requirements; and Pathfinder policies, procedures, and standards of conduct. Maintains Pathfinder's library of policies and procedures and compliance training resources. Supports key compliance, internal audit, and risk management assurance activities in Country and, where possible, in other operations within Pathfinder's global footprint.

The Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that the organization complies with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and standards.

The Compliance Officer also oversees the development, implementation and monitoring of the compliance program, which includes risk assessment, training, reporting, investigation and remediation.

The Compliance Officer works closely with senior management, legal counsel, internal audit and external stakeholders to promote a culture of compliance and integrity.

  • To qualify for this position, candidates must have a bachelor's degree in law, business administration, finance or a related field, and at least five years of experience in compliance, audit or legal roles.

  • Candidates must also have excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Knowledge of international development, health or human rights issues is preferred.

  • Candidates must be willing to travel occasionally and adhere to Pathfinder International's values and mission.
