Job Description
Job Title: Communications Manager
Organisation: Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA)
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
To manage and enhance CCBU’s corporate reputation by managing the implementation of PAC Strategy in the Country and oversee the execution of projects, management and engagement of different stakeholders, cascading and gaining employee buy-in of business strategy through the
implementation of internal communication channels and enhancing of CCBU reputation with regional stakeholders and communities via the management
of Public Relationships and Media Management.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Implement Communications strategy and plan
Develop / implement a corporate narrative as the basis of all communications activity in Uganda, including strategic messages
Develop overall comms objectives and plans, including integrated internal and external comms, and oversee activities across channels; provide strategic, issue and crisis comms advice.
Build relationships with key customers internally and externally (media), to build strong partnerships with functions
Oversee planning of channel content; undertake research on reputation, media monitoring, market trends, industry issues to advise on positioning
Set a vision and embed world class comms processes and practices
Govern IMCR activities in the country and ensure all Incident Management and Crisis Resolution (IMCR) team roles and responsibilities allocated.
Ensure rigorous crisis plans are in place and identify training requirements.
Maintaining and enhance CCBU’s corporate reputation, trust and credibility through strategic stakeholder engagement and media relations.
Manage implementation of Enterprise development programmes to enhance CCBU’s corporate reputation and position as a leader on corporate programmes
Contribute content to the various regular in-house & external publications
Manage public relations activities for the region to support overall business initiatives, regional initiatives and to foster social cohesion with communities.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum requirement:
Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or related discipline
Added advantage: Master’s Degree in Business Administration,
Management or Communication.
Experience
Minimum requirement: Minimum 7 years’ experience in communication, Public Relations, Stakeholder Management and Engagement, at middle to Senior Management level.
Extensive experience in strategic planning and execution of planned initiatives.
Proven ability to manage budgets and work with implementing partners, implement desired culture changes.
