Job Description
The Clinical Officer will work under the guidance of and support the Medical Officer and experienced Clinician at Kyegegwa District Service Commission
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- History taking, physical examination, ordering appropriate laboratory investigations and make appropriate diagnosis.
- Promote rational drug use through use of MOH treatment guidelines.
- Champion TB case finding and key GBV services at OPD.
- Attend to emergencies presenting to the clinic and recommend referrals for cases that cannot be managed as per MOH guidelines.
- Boost patient experiences, including counselling and sensitizing patients through health talks preventive and promote health.
- Embrace, learn and develop in an evidence-based medical system.
- Consistent track record to work and deliver results with minimum supervision.
- Work with pharmacy on essential drugs required at the health centre and ensure rational use.
- Work with pharmacy staff to ensure pharmacovigilance is applied on Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) and general outpatient drugs.
- Work together with the Lab staff to ensure relevant investigations are done on a timely manner with the correct results and ensure quality control at all times.
- Assist in preparing and presenting monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports with the guidance of the Medical Officer and Project Manager

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the vacant posts that have been cleared by public service and on replacement basis as listed below:
Applicants should attach to each form a set of certified photocopies of their academic documents, recent passport photographs, a copy of a National Identity card and copies of all identity cards from all former institutions of learning.
Applications should bear the tittle of the post as well as the reference Number specified against the vacancy with day time phone contacts. Serving officers are advised to route their applications through their responsible officers.

(Minimum) Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery.
Registered with Clinical Officers Council and MUST possess a valid practicing license
