Job Description
Job Title: Clients Operations Manager
Organisation: AGL (Africa Global Logistics)
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Team Management: Lead, motivate, and develop a team to achieve quality of service goals.
Client Relationship Management: Manage operational relationships with clients, receive transit orders, and provide progress updates.
File Processing: Monitor and control file processing, ensure SOPs are applied, and allocate files to operators.
Operational Excellence: Ensure operations are performed with respect to gross margin and disbursements, and control costs.
Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve operational issues, and alert management and N+1 as necessary.
Overall, the Client Operations Manager will oversee the execution of logistics works, manage client relationships, and ensure operational excellence.
Tools:
Business software (SPOT, Qlikview)
Financial reports: Detail of the costs per COM (monthly)
Standard Operating Procedures
Targets and Goals:
100% target on quality-of-service KPI (including Client’s KPI)
100% target on budgeted costs

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications:
At least 3-5 years’ experience in clearing and forwarding
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and email
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work to tight deadlines and push people to a common goal
Natural leader and team player
