Job Description

As a casual Nurse you will be hired on a temporary or intermittent basis to fulfill short-term or irregular work requirements. You will not have a fixed, ongoing commitment with us and you will not have the same level of job security or benefits as full-time or permanent employees. You will usually be employed to address fluctuating workloads, seasonal demands, or specific projects where the need for labour or workers is uncertain or irregular. There will be time when you will have irregular working hours, and your employment may not be guaranteed beyond each individual assignment or working day.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care, including assessments, medication administration, wound care, and monitoring patient vital signs.
Collaboration: Work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, communicating effectively with doctors, therapists, and support staff.
Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on their medical conditions, treatment plans, and self-care.
Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Compassion: Deliver patient-centered care with empathy, promoting comfort and well-being.
Adherence to Regulations: Follow all healthcare guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications and Competencies

Requirements:

Nursing qualifications and or necessary license.
Strong clinical skills and ability to provide direct patient care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt to varying healthcare settings and patient needs.
Knowledge of medical software for charting and record-keeping.
Strong commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical standards.
Willingness to work on a casual/part-time basis and flexibility to accommodate changing schedules.

Working Hours:

This is a casual/part-time position with flexible working hours. Shifts may vary based on staffing needs and your availability.

Compensation:

Competitive hourly or daily wage commensurate with experience.
Opportunities for additional shifts based on workload and availability.
