Job Description
Job Title: Business Manager - TDO
Organisation: DFCU Bank
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Reports to: Chief Technology, Digital & Operations Officer
Reporting to the Chief Technology, Digital & Operations Officer, the role holder will be responsible for providing day-to-day support to the Chief Technology, Digital and Operations Officer to enable the Chief focus on key strategic issues and decisions. They will be key in leading and/or participating in strategic Technology Banking projects where required. Working closely with the Chief Technology, Digital and Operations Officer, the role holder will also be responsible for planning, executing, and reviewing of the TDO strategy and provide general analytical, research and administrative support.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Support the Chief Technology, Digital and Operations Officer with the formulation and articulation of the Digital strategy.
Assist in waterfalling strategic decisions throughout the organization through presentations, events and internal communiques.
Analyze financials, MIS, incoming documentation and highlight key matters/issues to the Chief Technology, Digital and Operations Officer.
Support the Chief Technology, Digital and Operations Officer with the formulation and articulation of the Digital strategy.
Assist in waterfalling strategic decisions throughout the organisation through presentations, events and internal communiques
Analyze financials, MIS, incoming documentation and highlight key matters/issues to the Chief Technology, Digital and Operations Officer.
Track resolution of Issues from Combined Assurance units (Risk, Audit, Internal Controls)
Periodically track performance against plans, and propose measures to address risks and challenges, through working with the TDO ManCo and the Management Information teams.
Participate in forums, that require representation, under the mandate of the Chief Technology, Digital and Operations Officer.
Conduct internal/external research on subject matters as requested or required
Work together with the Chief Technology, Digital and Operations Officer and other designated Exco members in terms of internal and external communication processes.
Prepare presentations and documentations as required by the Chief Technology, Digital and Operations officer.
Provide administrative support to the Chief Technology, Digital and Operations Officer as required.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
A University degree in business related fields.
At least three to five years management experience in banking, or consulting or audit firm
Project management and analytical skills
Advanced knowledge of spread sheets like excel etc
Advanced knowledge of Power Point
Data Analytical and Visualization skills in order to surface insights.
Financial analysis, planning and interpretation.
Extensive knowledge of current and upcoming trends in the fast-changing world
Excellent interpersonal skills & Presentation skills.
Knowledge of the banking industry is an advantage but not essential
People focused and networks easily.
High EQ together with high levels of trust and good judgement
Able to put structure and process to actions that involve multiple stakeholders.
Task and action focused – finishes what they start.
Quality and detail orientated.
Comfortable and confident in terms of working with senior executives.
