GA Uganda is a fully owned subsidiary of GA Insurance Limited, an insurance Group with Head Offices in Nairobi Kenya. The GA Brand has existed in East Africa in various forms over the past 80 years. The Group is very successful and is ranked 6th in the Kenya Market. Last year the GWP of the general insurance was US$ 78 Million. The GA brand is now truly East African having set foot in Uganda. The Tanzania operations were established six years.
GA Uganda is the latest addition in the general insurance business segment of the industry. The entry of the brand into the market was by way of an acquisition. The deal was completed in October 2019 and the GA flag was hoisted in the country on 1st November 2019.

Job Description
Job Title: Business Development Officer (Fresher Jobs)
Organisation: GA Uganda
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Responsible for GA product sales through lead generation, prospecting, sales conversion, cross selling and retention of existing insurance sales
Offer guidance to the policyholders, claimants, beneficiaries, complainants in complying with the requirements for settlement of claims by the Insurer
Bank staff with insurance knowledge through training, incentive campaigns, customer joint visits and presentations, to grow sales portfolio
Work with insurance partners to develop and track sales and incentive programs to drive sales behavior.
Offer guidance to the policyholders, claimants, beneficiaries, complainants in complying with the requirements for settlement of claims by the Insurer.
Keep track of client renewals (prepare renewal notices, communicating with insurers on any amendments or enhancements
Reviewing the daily trackers and sales

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications:
2 years relevant experience
A bachelor’s degree in business administration or any related field
A Certificate in Insurance is added advantage
Required Skills:
Good negotiation and influencing skills.
Strong networking and relationship skills.
Demonstrate confidence and a good sales acumen.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and communication skills.
Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
